Join us for a review of the FY22 NAWCAD Seed Grant projects with UMD and for collaborative discussion supporting FY23/FY24 opportunities.

The agenda for the day will be:
8:30 - 9:00 Hall open for coffee and networking
9:00 - 9:10 Introductions and opening remarks - Theresa Shafer and Reza Ghodssi
9:10 - 10:30 (4 projects)
10:30 - 10:40 (Break)
10:40 - noon (4 projects)
noon - 1:00 (Lunch) - food trucks
1:00 - 1:40 (2 projects)
1:40 - 2:00 Navy - FY24 Project Topic Concepts & Engagement
2:00 - 2:15 UMD-USMSM Vision for Research Engagement
2:15 - 3:00 Open discussions for FY24 projects
3:00 - 3:15 Wrap-up/actions/closing remarks


This will be a great opportunity to not only review the progress of existing seed grant projects with NAWCAD, but also see into their plans for future seed grants and how we can help shape those.

The event is hosted by Dr. Theresa C. Shafer, the director of engineering education and research partnerships at NAWCAD; and Dr. Reza Ghodssi, the executive director of research and innovation, Clark School at USMSM.

A shuttle from College Park will be provided. It will leave promptly from the street between the Kim Bldg and Clark Hall at 7:00 AM and re-board for the return trip at 3:15 PM.
