On Monday, April 21, 2003, Associate Professor Jeffrey Herrmann gave a talk entitled

"Manufacturing Research at the University of Maryland" at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.

Dr. Herrmann was a guest speaker in the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Seminar

that is part of the curriculum at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF), which is part of the National Defense University. The ICAF is the premier DoD Joint Professional Military Education institution for national security resource management.

The students are military officers (colonels and captains) from the United States and other countries, as well as civilians working for the DoD. Michael J. Falvey, Colonel, USAF, is the instructor.
