Alex Severinsky |

Alex Severinsky, inventor of the Hyperdrive power-amplified internal combustion engine power train for hybrid vehicles and the 2008 inductee into the Clark School's Innovation Hall of Fame, will be the commencement speaker at the Clark School's graduation ceremony.
The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in the Comcast Center on May 22.
Severinsky is an engineer and entrepreneur who emigrated to the U.S. from the Soviet Union and launched his inventions at the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland in College Park. More information about Severinsky is available on the Innovation Hall of Fame web site and in this press release.
The Clark School will announce the recipients of the Poole & Kent Teaching Award for Senior Faculty and the Faculty Service Award at the ceremony.
